Keeping our staff, patients, and clients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic

ADMIN

SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, has sparked concern throughout the world and Lakeside Animal Hospital is taking preventative measures to help keep everyone in our hospital safe.

Our hospital has several medical-grade air protections called Novaerus, an air disinfection unit, located throughout our hospital.

Novaerus not only disinfects the air from bacteria that transmit bad odors but is also effective at disinfecting for coronaviruses. They are scientifically proven to rapidly destroy airborne viruses and bacteria using patented plasma technology.

Due to the small size of viruses, many clean air solutions, including standalone filtration, are unable to trap viral particles. We know that infection can be transmitted on air currents over distances, by direct or indirect contact or a combination of all three routes.

The latest research shows that Novaerus, Defend 1050, portable air disinfection units use a non-selective, rapid killing, patented plasma technology, offering unique and safe solution to kill airborne viruses 24/7. It is our facility’s first line of defense against infectious outbreaks.
