The Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines on pets say, “there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading the virus that causes COVID-19,” but recommends you treat them “as you would other human family members.”
We still have the same recommendations to all of our families for their pets: Make sure to have a plan in place for someone to watch your pet in the event you contract the virus. Science shows that pets can improve our mental health during these tough times. If you have no symptoms, hold your fur babies close.
