Samantha
One of our veterinary technicians, has been part of our team for over three years. She is quick to show compassion, concern and care to every patient and client that walks through our doors and in this way, embraces what “we” are all about.
Sam is pictured with the adorable “Aiden.” Aiden actually belongs to our technician Danielle, but has an “honorary” spot in Sam’s pet family. Sam’s large furry family includes a variety of rescued and adopted animals. One of these pets is “Dixie,” a lab-mix, who was rescued from an abusive home, and has been a part of the family for seven years now. Due to her background, she still is shy around people but has turned out to be a loving and playful pet. One of Sam’s four cats, “Meow-Meow,” was found behind a dumpster, emaciated, and filthy. She is now a beautiful, happy, and healthy kitty. Sam’s animal family extends beyond the four-legged type- she is also the proud owner of a ball python and two emperor scorpions which recently had eight babies!
Jan
Jan, is one of our credentialed veterinary technicians, who has advanced training in dentistry. She has a talent and a passion for getting pet’s teeth clean and their mouths healthy! Originally from Cuba, Jan is fluent in Spanish and English, so she is invaluable to us when we care for our Spanish only speaking clients and their pets.
Jan has a variety of pets at home. Dixie, her cocker spaniel, was adopted eight years ago and despite all of his ear issues, has been a wonderful addition her family. Her boxer, Borat, was adopted from the Miami-Dade Humane Society after being surrendered three times! Jan gave the lovable trouble-maker a try a year ago, and he’s been a part of their family ever since. Even chickens find a loving home with Jan. Several months ago, three baby chickens were abandoned at our animal hospital and Jan adopted them all. They are living a happy & healthy life now at her home, and have blossomed into beautiful red roosters!
Danielle
Danielle, one of our veterinary technicians, has been a team member for over four years. She came to us from Canada and we’re glad that she stayed! Danielle is always hard at work giving the best care that she can to our patients and clients.
Danielle is pictured with “Gracie,” just one of her four-legged family members. Gracie is just over a year and a half old and has suffered with respiratory problems since she was adopted. Her health problems do not affect her personality though; Gracie is happy to pass out love and kisses when ever she is given the chance. Gracie fits right in with the rest of Danielle’s furry family- all have had, or currently suffer from, some form of medical problem. From multiple ruptured cruciate ligaments, to brain tumors, to hypoglycemia, to blindness… all pets with medical conditions seem to find their way to Danielle. Fortunately for all of those pets, she has the heart and means to provide them with all of the love and care that they deserve.
Courtney
Originally from Ohio, joined our team a little over a year ago. She is one of our veterinary technicians but you may still catch her in the exam room, welcoming you and your pet to our hospital, as a pet relation person. She is great at multi-tasking and always makes people smile, so we are lucky to be able to utilize her skills in multiple departments.
Courtney is pictured with her handsome boy “Romeo.” Romeo was adopted from Broward County Humane Society one year ago and has been a member of Courtney’s family ever since. He loves tennis balls, treats and children. He has aspirations of passing his Canine Good Citizen Test and then of becoming a certified therapy dog for children with cancer.
CJ
Our veterinary assistant, is one of our newer staff members, joining us a little over six months ago. CJ has been a great addition to our team. Not only are we grateful for the organization and invaluable assistance that he provides for us on a daily basis, his humor keeps us going through even the toughest of days.
Cristin
One of our veterinary technicians, has been a part of our team for over five years. Her infectious good moods and love for animals ensured that after her high school internship, she would stay on with us to eventually become the skilled and valued technician that she is today.
Cristin is pictured with her BIG baby, “Belvadere.” Belvadere is just one of a multitude of pets that make up Cristin’s four-legged family, composed mainly of rescued animals that were at one time in need of extensive medical care. Happily everyone is healthy at this time…even her newest member…”Hamilton,” her adorable, four month old, pot-bellied pig.
